Review: MAC Studio Finish Concealer

Image from maccosmetics.com

I got this concealer in NC25 at my local CCO for about $11. I honestly wasn't expecting much from it because I already owned a concealer from NARS which I wasn't impressed with at all. Plus NARS is supposed to be better quality(esp for the hefty price tag) Anywhoo, I started to use this when school started because ya gotta look good! ;) and ooooh boy, i was shockedd. It totally makes the NARs concealer look like crap compared to it. The only con about this particular concealer is that it's not my color... i know i know, my fault. Next time I'll bump it up to NC30.

PROS:
-creamy (easy to blend and use)
-opaque coverage (it covers my scars & undereyes really well)
-buildable
-in a nice portable container (looks like a MAC eyeshadow)
-can be used with a brush or your finger
-comes with good amount of product (7g)
-doesn't irritate skin (i'm sensitive/acne-prone...this doesn't break me out)
-long lasting

CONS:
-can be a bit drying..
-if you have oily skin this won't last all day on you.
-unsanitary (you have to dip your fingers/brush in it over&over again)

OVERALL:
PRICE: 3.5/5 stars : It is $16.50
PACKAGING: 3/5 stars : would be nice with a mirror
QUALITY: 5/5 starts

I give it 4.5/5 stars. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Asian Cosmetics?

So I've been back from my trip to Korea for about 3 months now. I didn't buy much from there surprisely but I sure wish I did! Korean cosmetics compared to the ones in the U.S. are a lot better in quality IMO.

Etude House- AC Clinic
I bought the Pink Powder Spot and the Red Spot Balm.
The Pink Poweder Spot is exactly what it says. It's a pink powder saturated with a liquid used for pimples. It is a spot treatment. It is amazing! A lot better than your tradition creams.
THe REd Spot Balm lightens up your acne scarring. I've been using this for less than 2 months but I see a mmajor difference already.

Missha Super Extreme MAscara (Waterproof - Long & volume)
AHH LOVE THIS SO MUCH. It doesn't do wonders if you jst use it. If you curl your lashs though, it looks amazinggg. It lengthes(has fiber technology) and hold the curl. I have the lashes that never hold a curl, not even ones that are waterprooof/curling. I always get compliments on my eyelashes noww--teehee.

Jewelry.Jewelry.Jewelry

The title says it all. I've been obsessed with wearing very simple outfits with lots of accessories! The pictures are the ones I've been loving/eyeing. Mind you, I prefer simple jewelry that can be layered with others. So sorry if this is a bit on the mellow side.
ps i couldnt upload anymore...somethings wrong with my blog?

Un-inspired.

Lately, makeup has been a bore to me. It doesn't really interest me anymore? Give me some of your ideas/suggestions below for my love for makeup to come back!

so summers here :) and i have a wishlist (of course) of what i want for the summer.

RAINBOWS! They are really comfortable because they form to your feet. The only thing is the price tag. They are about $45.

Black Bandeau Top.
Theses are so in right now. and i like to mix and match my bikinis and since black goes with everything it makes sense!

Fedora Hats.
They are so cute and old-fashion. Loves itttt (:

TURQOISE JEWELRY
imagine this. tan skin. black or white v-neck. shorts. turqoise necklace. ....BEAUTIFUL . i haven't found the perfect necklace or turqoise bracelet yet....

Small Sideways Cross Necklace
Totally inspired by Lollipop26. I enjoy small necklaces cause you can wear them everyday with pretty much anything. plus it looks good when layered with other pieces

REVIEW: Laneige Strawberry Peeling Gel

My skin type is acne-prone; semi-sensitive.

PROS:
-it's very gentle so you can use even on the most sensitive.
-smells really good! just like strawberry yogurt haha
-reveals a brighter complexion
-you can see the dead skin coming off!
-it takes out the impurities in your skin

CONS:
-hard to find in the U.S. I recommend getting it at sasa.com or facial-shop.com
-doesn't unclog pores

Overall, I think this is a good thing to have in your skincare regime. There really is nothing like it. But I also think this isn't the best exfoliator. Exfoliators should unclog pores and this one doesn't do very well. I honestly probably won't repurchase this again unless I see it somewhere here.

Ins/Outs

Ins:
Being veggie- yup, i'm trying it out. and so far i love it! it makes me make better food choices in life and honestly, i don't even miss meat!
Green Peas/Corn- SOOO GOOD. i love this combo, its sweet but in a healthy way? i love the green giant frozen green peas.
jewelry- i've been wearing just simple clothes and lots of jewelry to complement it. i was inspired by Lorraine Stanick haha
Guess for Women Parfum- sexy, feminine, tangy. and it's super strong :)
l'oreals fairest nude l/s- just a nice everyday lipstick. not too nude on me which i kinda like. sometimes nudes just make me look...weird?
maybelline pulse perfection mascara- this is the very famous vibrating mascara from the drugstore. of course i didn't pay full price for this. i paid only . . . . . . $3! I know right?!?! Target had them on sale for that low! And i bought one and a week later, bought another as a backupp. It is lengthening, curling, and defining. Provides little volume tho. Application is a breeeze.
Janes Be Pure Mineral Gel Liner- Its unforunate that this company went bankrupt and went out of business. they make great products and their gel liner is one of them. this is for all the ladies/gents with oily lids. MAC's fluidline will end up giving me raccoon eyes or creaselines. but jane's does not! :)
NARS Custard Concealer- life savior. this covers all of my blemishes. only con is that it doesn't last alll day.
froyo & bubble tea- NOM NOM NOM NOM. i just found this great froyo joint near me and it is fabulous!
MAC Grand Entrance- really nice for the inner corners. it reallly
opens out the eyes. i know you can't get this anymore but i hear Stila's Kitten e/s is a good dupe.

OUTS-
Veggie haters- nuff said.
rain and cold- WHERE IS THE SUMMER WEATHER?!
shorts shorts- um, no one wants see anyone's booty hangin' out during school. smh
coffee- i know starbucks had this happy hour thing going on. the old me would be going there everyday but i wasn't even tempted

My Summer Must-Haves!

so i'm blogging after watching the NCAA game. It was super intense. Down to the last second! I thought i wanted Duke to win, but after the first half, i was rooting for Butler. I mean, c'mon! They were so close!! :( anyways...
the weather has been so nice lately. i LOVE it. so it's got me in that summer mood so i'l just list the stuff that i will be sportin' this summuh <3

BEAUTY
-SUNSCREEN! I love the Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist
-Gradual Tanner- i like Bare Bronze from VS.
I used to think that the only good wasy of getting a tan is to sit out in the sun everyday. But this tanner proved me wrong. It looks glowy and natural :)
-MAC's lip TLC- has spf. moisturizes. conditions. gives a tint. perfection for my lips. BTW: try to stay away from lip gloss if you're going to stay out in the sun cause it attracts more UV rays.
-Urban Decays 24/7 Liners- in electric, covet, lust, and lucky. GORGEOUS COLORS. plus these liners won't smudge even under the hot weather

CLOTHES
-Rompers! they are so in right now! F21 has really cutte ones right now for $7
-Loose tank tops- i know summer's the time where most girls wear really tight clothing and think they can get away with it... but this summer it's all about the loose big tank top! it's cute over a bathing suit or just a white beater or cami underneath.
-bandeaus they are freakin' adorable! plus it will not leave horrible tan lines :)
-neon- uh, neon is always in esp in the summer!

MISC
-white watches- after rooming Nordstroms last year, i saw Michael Kor's Ceramic Watches. O MY GUUUH. i needed it! but i just couldn't fork out $225 for a watch...so i looked for cheaper versions of it. I found it after months of searching! It's from Fossil for $85
-WATER- gotta stay hydrated.
-book- if you're laying by the poolside you need to read. i am lovin' DEAR JOHN by Nicolas Sparks.
-wristlets- instead of hauling that big ol' purse of yours, just carry a wristlet! all you really need is $$ and cards

happy new year!

so i'm keeping up with my resolution to update my blog more :)
let me just tell ya, seeing "2010" is soo weird... but in a good way! it's the start of a new decade so let's make it a good one.

so this post is going to do a review on . . . . Maybelline's ColorSensational Lipstick.

I have mine is #25--Pink Please.
in the tue it looks like a pretty light pink color. Once applied on the lips, it gives you the same color and it does not dry your lips out. However, if you're like me, and put more than one layer of lipstick and go over it 2 times or so, it will creep into the lines of your lips and the color doesn't look too pretty. it turns into just a regular pink. personally, i LOVE nudey lips. so if it's just a regular pink, i consider it dark. the smell of these are sorta weird. smells cheap and what not.
so...

PROS:
-not drying if you apply just one layer
-pigmented
-nice sleek packaging
-decent color selection
-lasts longer than most drugstore lipsticks

CONS:
-can look drying and dark if you apply more than one layer

Sooo, i think y'all should check it out! you can find it at most drugstores..

FTC- I bought this lpstick and it is my honest opinion. no one paid me
